Hot Mash and Chicken Girl

It has been COLD at Anna's Little Farm.  Minus 22 degrees this morning, and tonight is supposed to be even colder!  We cook a thick, hot mash (oats and cornmeal) for the chickens and Buttercup every morning to warm them up...
And they love it...

Guess who else likes it...

She really is Chicken Girl!

First Snowstorm of the Year

Yeah!  Finally!  We have close to two feet of snow (even Mom took a snow day off work) and it's still coming down.  The sheep are definitely enjoying it, but not as much as me and Crash (a.k.a. Spinning Dog). Isn't he cute?
Here we are playing in the snow...
while Daddy is shoveling a path to the water bucket for the sheep.
And here's Lucy smiling. She loves to eat snow off the branches of the hemlock tree.  You can see the snow on her nose...
Mom took this photo of the sheep following me back into the sheep shed...
I'm so glad we finally got more snow than Grandmom!!!
